Although I don’t have a preference either way, I do find the trend to shorter games problematic on one level. I’m a little concerned that designers will not have the freedom to create a longer, more complexe game because of the fear it wonnnnn’t get published.
Like all types but long requires time with players committed. Sometimes unable to get that for a long game & there are great short games to play. Sometimes I personally do not have ability to commit to a long game but would like to get game in.
